Asus fans rejoice, as the Taiwanese company has just announced yet another Android smartphone in the Zenfone family.

The new Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition has been officially unveiled today, but the handset maker has not offered any details about availability and pricing options for the moment.

The good news is the smartphone looks quite stylish, and judging by the specs list, it will be pretty powerful as well.

The Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition is likely to be launched in China in the next couple of days, but we expect Asus to make it available in other countries soon afterwards.

According to Asus, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition is powered by an Intel Z3590 quad-core processor clocked at 2.5GHz, coupled with no less than 4GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 1TB via microSD card slot.

These specs are only included inside the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Edition, but the rest of its features are similar to those of the standard Zenfone 2 model.

Aside from hardware, it packs similar specs as the standard model

This means that the Deluxe Edition boasts a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

At the back, the smartphone packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash and video recording, whereas in the front there's a secondary 5-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Last but not least, Asus Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will be powered by a 3,000 mAh battery, which is non-removable.

Even though Asus has yet to announce details on the phone's availability and price tag, we do know the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition will come in Silver Polygon and Carbon Night versions.

Keep in mind that these models don't just come in different colors, but the pattern on the back cover is different as well.
