The device features a screen-to-body ratio of 97%

ASUS has just unveiled the laptop with the world’s thinnest display bezels, boasting a screen-to-body ratio of no less than 97 percent.

The ZenBook S13, referred to as UX392FN, sports a 13.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels and 400 nits brightness.

Given the super-small bezels, ASUS needed to turn to a design gimmick in order to offer front-facing features like the webcam, and unsurprisingly, the company picked an idea that’s very popular now in the smartphone market.

So yes, the ZenBook S13 comes with a notch, though it’s not eating up screen space, but actually expanding above the screen in a way that doesn’t impact the screen-to-body ratio by any means.

Hardware specs

In terms of hardware, the ZenBook S13 is as impressive as it is as far as the design goes. The device can be paired with up to an Intel Core i7-8565U processor paired with up to 16GB DDR3 memory and 1TB SSD storage. The device is available exclusively with SSD storage, and this obviously produces a major performance gain versus the traditional HDD option.

An NVIDIA GeForce MX150 is also offered, and while it won’t give you the best performance to play the latest titles out there, it’s still good enough to make this laptop a beast.

While having a device that is only 12.9mm thin could make you think there’s no room for connectivity ports, this isn’t the case of the new ZenBook S13. You get two different USB Type-C ports, one with fast charging support, one USB Type-A port, one microSD card reader, an audio jack.

No details are available right now as to how much the laptop is going to cost, but don’t expect it to come cheap. ASUS hasn’t shared any information regarding the release date, yet it should become available at some point in the first quarter of this year.
