It looks like Asus has just announced a new smartphone that is not part of the Zenfone family. The new Live handset has been officially introduced in Brazil, but there's a chance other countries will get it too.

According to fonearena, customers can now purchase the Asus Live for around $210 outright. The smartphone is available in three color options: Bluet, Pink and Yellow.

The new Asus Live is a mid-range handset, hence the price. The device ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system and Zen UI 2.0 on top of it.

Even though the smartphone has a different name, it packs specs similar to the Zenfone Go's. There are a few design differences, as well as some hardware components that have been added, but overall, they are pretty much the same device.

Still, it's worth mentioning Asus Live comes with a built-in digital TV, which isn't available on the Zenfone Go. The rest of the phone's specs are decent and come in line with the mid-range price.

For example, Asus Live has been confirmed to sport a 5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution.

On the inside, the smartphone packs a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580 processor, coupled with a Mali 400 MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM. Asus Live packs 16GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

There's also an 8-megapixel camera on the back that features autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Asus Live is powered by a 2,070 mAh battery that has yet to be rated by the manufacturer. Last but not least, it offers dual-SIM support, but it lacks 4G LTE.

However, customers will have other connectivity options at their disposal, including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.
