Ubisoft revealed the second major expansion for Assassin's Creed Valhalla, The Siege of Paris launches on August 12. The new DLC includes an all-new soundtrack composed by violinist and composer Stephanie Economou (Mulan, Jupiter's Legacy, The Martian).

As the name suggests, The Siege of Paris expansion takes players to France, as Eivor must now conquer new lands, battle new enemies, and build new alliances. A new region, Francia, will be added to the game, along with new quests, new weapons, gear, skills, and abilities.

Obviously, The Siege of Paris is included with the Season Pass, but the expansion will also be available as a separate purchase on all platforms. Not much else about the upcoming DLC has been revealed, but we're waiting for Ubisoft to return with more details in the coming days.

In the same piece of news, Ubisoft released a major Assassin's Creed Valhalla update today, which adds new quests, exclusive rewards, and one-handed swords. More importantly, the update brings the Sigrblot Festival, a time-limited event running from July 29 until August 19. To be eligible for the festival, players must have reached England and finished either the Grantebridgescire or Ledecestrescrire arc, as well as be at least Settlement Level 2.

Also, a wide range of new activities are included in the update and will be available in the Raventhorpe settlement around the traditional bonfire, such as Flyting, Fight Tournament, and Dice Game mini-games. Title update 1.3.0 brings three new quests, as well as exclusive rewards including settlement decorations, customization items, and weapons.

It's also important to mention that a unique one-handed sword (Skrofnung) can be acquired with Sigrblot tokens via the festival shop for a limited time before the event ends.

Last but not least, title update 1.3.0 introduces one of the most requested features: level scaling. This feature will be optional and should make Valhalla feel more like the other titles in the series since it will do away with the gated content.
