The moment we've been waiting for has finally arrived. Ubisoft's next installment in the Assassin's Creed series has just been revealed and, unsurprisingly, it will be available on both current and next-generation consoles.

Titled Assassin's Creed: Valhalla, the game will release worldwide Holiday 2020 on Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Stadia, and for PC exclusively on both the Epic Games Store and the Ubisoft Store. Furthermore, the French developer announced Assassin's Creed Valhalla will also be available on uPlay+, its subscription service that costs €15 / $15 per month.

Ubisoft revealed that players who pre-order Assassin’s Creed Valhalla will receive at launch an additional mission The Way of the Berserker, in which they will join a legendary Norse Berserker on his quest for revenge.

As expected, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla follows the saga of yet another hero - Eivor, a fierce Viking raider. Set against the brutal backdrop of England’s Dark Ages, Assassin's Creed Valhalla offers a true Vikings experience. Players can take advantage of new features including raids, growing their settlement, building their power, and expanding their influence.

Just like in the previous game, players will be able to choose to play as either a male or female Eivor and will have access to customization tools including the ability to customize hair, tattoos, war paint, and gear.

Assassin's Creed Valhalla will let players decide on whether or not to give in to political alliances, as dialogue choices will heavily influence the world of the game. You'll have to choose wisely to protect your clan’s home and future, so combat choices are a very important step to ensure not just your survival, but also the pace at which your legacy will grow.

Eivor, the leader of a clan of Norsemen is driven from Norway by endless wars and dwindling resources in the ninth century AD, so he decides to cross the North Sea to the rich lands of England’s broken kingdoms.

However, as the Vikings begin to settle in their new home, they encounter resistance from the Saxons including King Aelfred of Wessex, the sole ruler of England. Against all odds, Eivor must do what is necessary to keep Valhalla within reach.

Apart from the standard versions, three other Assassin's Creed Valhalla editions will be released later this year: Gold, Ultimate, and Collector’s Edition. The Gold Edition will include the base game and the Season Pass, while the Ultimate Edition will include the base game, the Season Pass and the Ultimate Pack giving access to players to exclusive customization content, such as the Berserker Gear Pack, the Berserker Settlement Pack, the Berserker Longship Pack, along with a Set of Runes to improve weapons or gears.

Finally, the Collector’s Edition will include the base game, the Season Pass, the Ultimate Pack, the high-end Ubicollectibles replica of Eivor and her Drakkar (30cm), a Collector’s Case, a Steelbook with unique artwork, a numbered certificate of authenticity, a Viking Statuette of Eivor with his raven and Dane ax (5cm), exclusive lithographs as well as selected soundtrack of the game. This one will exclusively be available via the Ubisoft Store.
