A brand-new report has surfaced online, citing a Ubisoft employee, who claims that the bug testing and solving procedures at the publisher are so chaotic that the upcoming Assassin's Creed Syndicate might once again suffer from a series of issues when it launches in October.

The Assassin's Creed saga has been around for quite a few years, and thanks to Ubisoft's myriad of global studios, yearly installments have appeared across a multitude of platforms all around the world.

Unfortunately for fans and the company, last year's Assassin's Creed Unity, which employed a new engine and arrived only on PC, PS4, and Xbox One, suffered from a huge amount of technical issues, which required months and plenty of patches to solve.

Syndicate might repeat Unity's problems

Ubisoft has promised several times that the upcoming Syndicate won't suffer from such problems but a new report, via NeoGAF, citing an internal test at the French company reveals a different story, one that might again affect those who buy Syndicate on launch day.

According to the developer, the engine powering Syndicate is still incomplete and the game that's being built on top of it suffers from a series of problems that might not even be fixed until the game is ready to launch at the end of October.

He mentions that the chaotic development cycle is causing a lot of wear on the different studios and that Syndicate could end up repeating Unity's mistakes.

As of yet, Ubisoft hasn't commented on the report, although recent videos have shown that at least some portions of Syndicate are shaping up pretty well.

The new game is set to launch on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms on October 23 for the PS4 and Xbox One platforms, and on November 19 for the PC platform. Ubisoft claimed that the delayed release of the game on PC was due to an emphasis on quality, as extra time is needed to ensure that the title can work as intended on a variety of computer configurations.
