Great news for racing games fans, as Gameloft has just announced its smash hit Asphalt 8: Airborne has received an important update that brings new content to players.

The new update had already been pushed to Android and iOS devices earlier this month, but Windows Phone users were skipped from the initial release of the update.

The good news is, beginning today, Windows Phone users who play Asphalt 8: Airborne on their handsets will finally be able to install the new version of the game that contains important changes.

First of all, developers have confirmed that the update should add 6 new cars, including the Lamborghini Huracan and Bentley EXP10 Speed 6. The rest of the four super sports cars will be progressively released by developers in the coming weeks.

But that's not all, as Asphalt 8: Airborne includes more than 100 brand new Car Mastery events. Players must take these events in order to earn exclusive Cars and Decals.

You will also be able to test-drive the Lamborghini Huracán and complete each stage of upgrades to make this motorized marvel yours.

Addicts can play it with MOGA controllers

With the new car additions, Asphalt 8: Airborne should now include more than 95 high-performance cars, and 80% of them are new.

Also, it's worth mentioning that Gameloft's game is now MOGA enhanced, which means you will be able to add a controller to play Asphalt 8: Airborne.

If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Asphalt 8: Airborne for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Windows Phone 8 and up.

Keep in mind that while the game is available for free, it comes with in-app purchases. So, if you don't want to spend real money, you can disable this feature from the settings.
