14 DAY TRIAL // The sequel to Blini Games’ disturbing action-RPG with rogue-like elements, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 is coming to Steam in Early Access on October 28, publisher 1C Entertainment announced over the weekend.
Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 continues the story where the original left off and promises to take the characters to a new stage on their fight against the Unknown. Players get to choose from six playable characters and play either solo or in co-op with up to three friends.
Among the six different playable characters, fans of the series will recognize some that will make a comeback, but some completely new. Obviously, each one is meant to provide players with a different playstyle.
The Detective, the Witch, and the Professor which were part of the first game will also be available in the sequel. Three new classes, the Medium, the Veteran, and the Alienist will join the group of adventurers in Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2.
But classes are not the only thing new in Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2, as developers revealed one of the new elements included in the sequel: the possibility to craft your own equipment. Throughout your journey into the Unknown, you’ll find blueprints and resource that will allow you to create and improve new items like clothes, weapons and consumables.
Another nice touch is that with each piece of gear added, the appearance of your character will change. Of course, new locations will be included too, alongside challenging puzzles and new enemies.
As mentioned earlier, Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 will be playable solo or in co-op multiplayer with up to 4 players. Keep in mind though that there’s no friendly fire in the game. When the Lovecraft’s Untold Stories 2 launches on Steam in Early Access, only three playable characters will be available, but the rest will be added via updates throughout the development cycle.
