Ariana Grande is a donut-licking, American-hating young woman but she’s yet to apologize for that first part. The 22-year-old pop star got busted on surveillance video for licking donuts on display in a California shop and for saying that she hated America and Americans.

She apologized for what she said, but didn’t say a peep on what she did. She might have to soon, because she’s under investigation from both the police and the Health Department, Gossip Cop confirms.

She put her tongue on donuts other patrons bought

You can see the footage from the surveillance camera below. It shows Ariana and new boyfriend Ricky Alvarez and 2 other pals, waiting for their order to arrive. In the meantime, Ariana and Ricky dare each other to put their tongues on the donuts on display, donuts they never had any intention of buying and that other people would pay for.

Because they touched merchandise that was meant for other patrons, she is being investigated by the Lake Elsinore Police Department and the Riverside County Department of Public Health, the aforementioned celebrity publication says.

No word yet on whether she’s facing charges or, if she is, what they might be.

Unfortunately, there’s no legal punishment for being deliberately rude.

She didn’t just lick the donuts, she also spat on them

And here’s another report on the incident, now viral, that may have precipitated the investigations: Joe Marin, the owner of the shop, tells Us Weekly that Ariana did more during her 15-minute stop at his place than just lick the donuts on display.

She also spat on them.

“She was looking around, and that’s when I saw she was licking two of the donuts,” Marin says. “Then she went to another tray that was on top and there was a tray of powdered donuts. So I zoomed [the camera into] her mouth, and the powdered ones, she did not lick them, she spit on those. She spit on one of them, and she dared that guy she was seeing and he spit on it, too. I saw they were getting a kick out of it and the two friends she brought, they saw what he did, too.”

The owner adds that he has 10 security cameras installed in the shop, so he was able to capture Ariana’s rude gesture from several angles. He also says that he saw her do this in real time.

He laments the pop star’s rudeness because donuts servers who had no idea of what had happened later sold them to other patrons.

Marin says he doesn’t know who bought them because the donuts sold out that night, but he doesn’t explain why he didn’t remove the items Grande touched right after she left, since he already knew by then what she’d done.

Considering the abundance of details that have emerged about this incident, we might as well to call it DonutGate from now on.
