Apple announces the date of its September 2020 event

Apple has recently announced its hardware even for this year’s fall, as the company typically hosts a September hardware conference where it introduces new iPhone models, Apple Watch versions, and software updates.

This year, the event will take place on September 15 at 10 a.m. at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California.

However, for 2020 Apple will just stick with a digital version of the event given the health situation, so the company will take the wraps off all devices online.

More importantly, it's not clear if Apple plans to announce the new iPhones at this event, but sales are likely to begin at a later time anyway. This is because the company has been struggling with production challenges caused by the health crisis, and it’s believed that October or November would be the months when the new models could hit the shelves.

iOS 14, Apple Watch Series 6

Apple’s September 15 event will also witness the debut of the Apple Watch Series 6, but this time sales are expected to kick off later the same month.

iOS 14 will also be announced at the show, as the new operating system has been in beta since the WWDC earlier this year. Most likely, Apple will ship the Golden Master build just before the show, so all iPhones that are supported would be allowed to download the final version shortly after the event.

Apple will launch four different iPhones this year, one with a 5.4-inch screen, two with 6.1-inch displays, and a Pro Max model with a 6.7 panel. All models would feature 5G support and come with OLED screens, and it’s believed the 6.1-inch versions would be the first ones going on sale.

Full information would be shared by Apple at the September 15 event, including pricing details.
