We reported the other day that Apple had started seeding the fourth Beta builds of the upcoming iOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra, watchOS 3, and tvOS 10 operating systems to registered developers.

And we also told you that if you're a public beta tester, you should expect to see new Betas of iOS 10 and macOS 10.12 Sierra available on the day of August 2, 2016. We were right. Apple now offers the iOS 10 Public Beta 3 and macOS 10.12 Sierra Public Beta 3 updates to users worldwide.

As expected, the new Public Beta builds of iOS 10 and macOS Sierra contain the same new features and improvements that Apple implemented in the fourth Betas released on August 1, 2016, to developers enrolled in its Apple Developer program. Both releases are now available for free for supported devices.

Here's what's new in iOS 10 Public Beta 3

We have managed to install the third Public Beta of iOS 10 on our iPhone 6 smartphone, so we can tell you now about some of the enhancements. First off, this is the first iOS 10 Public Beta to trigger the first time configuration wizard, which got revamped from iOS 9 with Apple Pay support and other changes.

There's also a new Control Center splash page that appears only the first time you access the Control Center from the bottom of the screen, and it looks like Apple added some new wallpapers and removed many of the old ones. Other changes include redesigned emoji characters and a date section widget.

If you're running iOS 10 Public Beta 2 or a previous release, as well as macOS 10.12 Sierra Public Beta 2, you can now update to Public Beta 3 via the iOS built-in updater and Mac App Store, respectively. On the other hand, we provide step-by-step tutorials on how to install the iOS 10 and macOS Sierra Public Betas.
