Apple has just started seeding the third Beta build of the upcoming OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite software update for Mac computers to developers worldwide enrolled in the Apple Beta Program for OS X Yosemite.

The new Beta build is available right now as an update in the Mac App Store application for all users of the OS X 10.10.5 Beta 2 Yosemite operating system, and it most likely fixes some of those nasty issues reported by users since the previous Beta.

Tagged as build 14F25a, the Mac OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite Beta 3 update does not have a changelog, so we can only assume that it adds under-the-hood improvements, but not cosmetic changes.

To update, fire up your Mac App Store application, go to the Updates tab, wait for the app to check for available updates, then click the "Update" button in front of the OS X Yosemite 10.10.5 Beta 3 entry that will appear in the list.

Click the "Download & Restart" button when asked, then wait for the OS X 10.10.5 Beta 3 Yosemite update to be downloaded, which could take some time depending on your Internet connection, and then installed, which will require a computer restart.

How to switch to the Mac OS X 10.10.5 Beta builds

If you're running the current stable version of the Mac OS X Yosemite operating system, 10.10.4, and you want to jump ship and switch to the Beta builds of OS X 10.10.5, you can do so by enrolling in Apple's Beta Program for OS X Yosemite.

For that, you must access the Apple Developer website, go to the Member Center section, access the SDKs entry, then the OS X category, and switch to the OS X Yosemite Beta downloads. There you'll find all the information you need to get started.

However, please note that once you update to the Beta builds of OS X 10.10.5 Yosemite, you won't be able to go back to the previous stable version of OS X Yosemite, 10.10.4. Also, try to keep in mind that this is a pre-release version of OS X and it's not suitable for production environments.
