While we were hoping to get a new Beta build of the upcoming iOS 10.3 operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices, it looks like Apple released only the fifth Beta of macOS 10.12.4 Sierra to registered developers and public beta testers.

The macOS Sierra 10.12.4 Beta 5 and Public Beta 5 releases come eight days after the fourth Beta to improves the security, stability, and compatibility of your iMac, MacBook, and Mac Mini computers. It's available as we speak and can be installed using the macOS Sierra Developer Beta Access utility or via the Mac App Store.

The release notes do not include any information about what was changed in this update, but Apple informs users to focus on testing the new Night Shift feature that will automatically shift the colors of your display to the warmer end of the spectrum after sunset, as well as dictation support for the Shanghainese language.

Additionally, you should also test the new Siri support for checking Cricket players, scores, and schedule rosters from the International Cricket Council and Indian Premier League, as well as writing, reading and navigating of PDF documents using the new system-provided APIs (Application Programming Interfaces).

Apple wants users to report any bugs

As usual, if you find any bugs, Apple wants you to report them in case you encounter any problems after installing the macOS Sierra 10.12.4 Beta 5 or Public Beta 5 builds, which are tagged as 16E183b. Please make sure to include "10.12.4 (16E183b)" in the bug report title when submitting new ones via the official Bug Reporting page.

If you're running macOS Sierra 10.12.4 Beta 4/Public Beta 4 or a previous Beta build, we recommend that you update your installations to the Beta 5 release as soon as possible. If you're new to macOS Sierra 10.12 Public Beta testing, we've prepared an in-depth tutorial to learn how to jump into the Public Beta bandwagon.

As always, please try to keep in mind that these are pre-release versions of the macOS Sierra 10.12 operating system, which means that they could contain unresolved bugs. If you want a stable macOS experience, don't install any of these Beta buids. Happy testing!
