Apple released today the third beta versions of its upcoming iOS 11.4.1 and tvOS 11.4.1 software updates for supported iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and Apple TV devices.

The iOS 11.4.1 beta 3 (15G5072a) and tvOS 11.4.1 beta 3 (15M5071b) builds are now available for installation on registered devices running last week's beta 2 release. Application developers with a paid and active Apple Developer account can now install the new beta versions on their devices.

The only difference from last week's second beta releases is that Apple didn't update the macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 and watchOS 4.3.2 betas. Once again, the release notes remain untouched, meaning that Apple is only testing regressions from previous betas and patching security vulnerabilities.

If you're an iOS or tvOS application developer running Apple's iOS 11.4.1 or tvOS 11.4.1 software version on your registered devices, you can now install the beta 2 release via OTA (Over-the-Air) updates by going to Settings -> General -> Software Updates. On the other hand, newcomers must download the beta profiles from the Apple Developer website.

iOS 11.4.1, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, tvOS 11.4.1, and watchOS 4.3.2 coming soon

A second public beta release of Apple's iOS 11.4.1 and tvOS 11.4.1 software updates should be ready for public testing in the next 24 hours. The final releases of iOS 11.4.1, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, tvOS 11.4.1, and watchOS 4.3.2 are expected to come soon but don't expect them to bear any major improvements or new features.

Most probably they'll include only security and bug fixes as Apple continues to make its iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS operating systems more reliable, stable, and secure than ever. Meanwhile, Apple continues to work on the next major versions of its operating systems, iOS 12, macOS Mojave 10.14, tvOS 12, and watchOS 5.

Update: Apple also released today macOS High Sierra 10.13.6 beta 3 (17G47b) along with the third public beta of its upcoming iOS 11.4.1, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6, and tvOS 11.4.1 software updates. Public beta testers can install the new beta versions via the OTA (Over-the-Air) update mechanism of iOS, macOS, and tvOS.
