Promises to migrate your content automatically and securely

Although it's been busy launching iOS 9 earlier today, Apple took the time to launch a brand-new application for Android devices.

Obviously, Apple wouldn't have just released an Android app if it had nothing to gain from it. As the name suggests, “Move to iOS” is an application that should make it easier for Android users to switch to Apple's iOS platform.

According to Apple, those who plan to do just that should install this application on their Android devices if they want to transfer all of their content “automatically and securely” to an iOS device.

Moreover, the Cupertino-based company states that when an Android user chooses to migrate his/her data onto a new iPhone or iPad, the device will create a private Wi-Fi network and find the nearby Android device running Move to iOS application.

Furthermore, as soon as the user enters a security code, it will begin transferring the content and put it in the right places.

Does this make you want to switch to iOS?

Once the transfer is completed, you will be able to start using your iOS device without having to make any additional settings. Apparently, the application is also capable of setting your default mail account.

In fact, Apple has confirmed that the Move to iOS application can securely transfer the following content onto an iPhone or iPad: Contacts, Message history, Camera photos and videos, Web, Bookmarks, Mail accounts, and Calendars.

If you plan on switching to iOS, then you can now download Move to iOS for Android for free via Google Play Store. Keep in mind that the application is supported on all phones and tablets running Android 4.0 and later.

Sadly, those with older Android devices who want to switch to iOS won't be able to use this application since it's not compatible.
