Developers now allowed to try out another beta

Apple has just released a new beta version of iOS 15 to developers, as the company is working hard on finalizing the development of this operating system ahead of the big launch next month.

iOS 15 beta 6 is therefore available for download right now for developers as build number 19A5325f, and as per Apple’s typical approach, no release notes are available right now.

But given it’s a beta build that lands only approximately a week after the previous version, we should expect only small improvements here and there, with the focus most likely on fixing bugs and improving the general performance.

iOS 15 coming next month

The next version of iOS is projected to land in September, and just like its predecessor, it’ll be available on the iPhone 6s and newer.

Of course, it’ll come with lots of improvements and new features, including a new notification system that will make it easier to stay up-to-date with your apps.

“To help reduce distraction, a new notification summary collects non-time-critical notifications for delivery at a more opportune time, such as in the morning and evening,” Apple explains.

“Using on-device intelligence, notifications are arranged by priority, with the most relevant notifications rising to the top, and based on a user’s interactions with apps. Urgent messages will be delivered immediately, so important communications will not end up in the summary, and it’s easy to temporarily mute any app or messaging thread for the next hour or for the day.”

While Apple is projected to release iOS 15 next month for everyone out there, other betas should also land in the meantime, and Apple could even accelerate the release cycle to make sure everything is working as expected. A new public beta should also get the green light in the coming days.
