Apple has released today the third set of maintenance updates to its latest iOS 12.1, macOS Mojave 10.14, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 operating systems for supported iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple TV devices.

After being in development for the past couple of months, the iOS 12.1.3 (16D39 and 16D40), macOS Mojave 10.14.3 (18D42), watchOS 5.1.3 (16S535), and tvOS 12.1.2 (16K534) software updates are now available via the OTA (Over-the-Air) update mechanism. Users can install the new versions on their supported devices running a previous version from the iOS 12.1, macOS Mojave 10.14, watchOS 5.1, and tvOS 12.1 operating system series.

As expected, these maintenance updates are here to fix bugs and patch security issues in an attempt to further improve the stability, reliability, and security of Apple's iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS operating systems. Therefore, we recommend updating your devices to the iOS 12.1.3, macOS Mojave 10.14.3, watchOS 5.1.3, and tvOS 12.1.2 releases announced today as soon as possible.

Here's what's new in iOS 12.1.3, macOS Mojave 10.14.3, watchOS 5.1.3, and tvOS 12.1.2

The iOS 12.1.3 release introduces bug fixes for iPhone and iPad devices. These include a fix for an issue in the Messages app that might affect the scrolling of photos in the Details view, a fix for an issue where photos could show striped artifacts after they were sent from the Share Sheet.

iOS 12.1.3 also resolves an issue on the recently released iPad Pro 2018 models which may lead to distorted audio when using an external audio input device, as well as an issue for iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max devices that could make them disconnect from certain CarPlay systems.

For the HomePod, the iOS 12.1.3 update fixes an issue that may cause the smart speaker to restart, as well as a bug that could force Apple's Siri intelligent voice assistant to stop listening on the HomePod. The watchOS 5.1.3 and tvOS 12.1.2 updates also address various issues for supported Apple Watch and Apple TV devices.

On the other hand, the macOS Mojave 10.14.3 update is here to improve the security, stability, and compatibility of your Mac by addressing various security issues, and no longer prompts users to enter their credentials when making a file-sharing connection using a valid Kerberos TGT.
