A few minutes ago, November 18, Apple published details about the availability of the iOS 9.2 Beta 4 mobile operating system for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch devices.

The fourth Beta of iOS 9.2 is now available for download as IPSW images from your Apple developer account, and it is also distributed through the Apple Beta Software Program for public testers.

The announcement comes one day after Apple released the fourth Beta build of the forthcoming Mac OS X 10.11.2 El Capital computer operating system, and it does not provide any details about the fixes or new features implemented.

"This is a pre-release version of iOS 9.2 for iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. Devices updated to iOS 9.2 can not be restored to earlier versions of iOS. This download requires Apple Developer Program membership." said Apple.

Here's how to install iOS 9.2 Beta 4

Even if we don't recommend to do so, you can install the Public Beta versions of the upcoming iOS 9.2 mobile operating system on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch devices by enrolling into the Apple Beta Software Program.

Firts of all, make a backup of your device using iTunes. Visit the Apple Beta Software Program website and sign in with the Apple ID that you're using on the device you want to install iOS 9.2 Beta 4.

There, click on the "enroll your iOS Device" link located on the Getting Started section, and then access the https://beta.apple.com/profile website on the respective iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch device.

You will be prompted to download and install a profile. Once the profile has been installed, open the Settings app, go to General and click on Software Update. You should see the iOS 9 Beta 4 update.

At this stage, you should make sure your device is charged over 50%. Click the "Download and Install" button and agree with the license agreement. Wait for the download to finish and for the iOS 9.2 Beta 4 update to be installed.
