The fruity-named firm makes fun of Windows

Apple and Microsoft seem to be best buddies right now after the latter participated in the launch of the iPad Pro and even praised its productivity capabilities, but this doesn't necessarily stop them from making fun of each other when there's a reason to do this.

Only that Apple had no reason to make fun of Microsoft's Windows on this iCloud Calendar support page, where they replaced the logo of the operating system with the image of a classic window.

This little joke was spotted by a Hungarian website, which claims that the modified Windows logo is there since May this year, so this could be a sign that Apple might not have any plan to change it anytime soon.

Is this Apple's revenge?

Apple's gimmick can't even be compared to some of the pranks that Microsoft launched in the past against its Cupertino-based rival and the first one that comes to mind is a September 2013 ad that was supposed to make fun of Apple.

At that time, Redmond launched an ad called “A fly on the wall in Cupertino?” which was supposed to show an Apple employee meeting where company workers were discussing plans for new phones. One of them was quoted as saying that “We're gonna give the people what they want, we're giving them the finger,” before another one added “print, fingerprint Touch ID.”

Microsoft itself admitted shortly after that such an ad was “off the mark” and decided to pull it completely, but this hasn't stopped the company from making fun of Apple once again in the future with commercials aimed against Macbooks or iPhones.

So this time, Apple has remained classy and although it's not really that funny, it's an elegant way to make fun of a friend. Or at least, that's what Apple most likely considers Microsoft to be. The Redmond giant, on the other hand, is yet to issue a statement on this, so expect it to return the favor very soon.
