Apple announced on Wednesday that its Apple Pay digital payments system is now officially available for users in Brazil, allowing companies to offer Apple Pay payments to their customers.

One of the most widely-used payment solutions, Apple Pay, is expanding slowing but surely to different continents and countries across the globe. It seamlessly integrates with payment gateways and merchant acquirers, and it's coming today to Brazil via Adyen.

"You can now support Apple Pay for your customers in Brazil, providing an easy and secure way for them to pay within your apps and websites," said Apple in the brief announcement it made this afternoon on its Apple Developer website.

Adyen enables merchants to offer Apple Pay support to their customers for in-store, on the web, and in-app purchases in Brazil. It already serves countries like United States, Canada, United Kingdon, Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore, France, and Switzerland.

Apple Pay is compatible with numerous retailers and restaurants, including Groupon, DoorDash, OpenTable, Trainline, Indiegogo, Chairish, and Fancy, as well as eCommerce platforms like IBM, Big Cartel, BigCommerce, GoCentral, Miva, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Shopify, Squarespace or WooCommerce.

Here's how to use Apple Pay

Using Apple Pay from a customer's point of view, it's quite easy. All you have to do is to ensure you have the latest iOS 11.3 mobile operating system installed on your iPhone or the watchOS 4.3 operating system on your Apple Watch, and add a new debit or credit card via the Wallet app.

That's it! You're now ready to go and buy products using Apple Pay, which offers iPhone and Apple Watch users around the globe an easy and secure digital payment method. To enhance the security of your payments, we recommend using Face ID or Touch ID technologies.

Apple Pay is also supporting non-profit organizations that require donations in their apps or on websites. For now, Apple Pay is supported in United States, Canada, Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, United Arab Emirates, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, Russia, and Brazil.
