Apple has recently announced a new collaboration for Apple Music, this time with German carmaker Mercedes-Benz.

More specifically, Apple Music’s Spatial Audio is now available natively on Mercedes models as part of the partnership between the two companies.

Apple Music with Spatial Audio will therefore be integrated into the MBUX infotainment system offered by the German carmaker on its models, including the EQS and EQS SUV, as well as the EQE and the S-Class. Furthermore, Maybach models will also get the same capabilities as part of this new collaboration.

Needless to say, Apple Music with Spatial Audio being offered as a native feature on Mercedes cars is big news in terms of the music listening experience offered to drivers. This is because the quality of the music will be top-notch, with access to a super-large music collection via Apple Music.

“Mercedes-Benz drivers who are already subscribed to Apple Music gain immediate access to an ever-growing selection of songs and albums available in Spatial Audio from some of the world’s biggest artists spanning all genres, including hip-hop, country, Latin, pop, and classical,” Apple explains in an announcement today.

“Apple Music also offers curated Spatial Audio playlists like Driving in Spatial Audio and Hip-Hop in Spatial Audio, where listeners can find and discover songs from their favorite artists. Additionally, subscribers can access Apple Music’s entire catalog of 100 million songs, thousands of editorially curated playlists, and daily selections from the world’s best music experts, including all of the artists and hosts broadcasting across its Apple Music 1, Apple Music Hits, and Apple Music Country global live-stream radio stations.”

While no such information has been shared, don’t be too surprised if Apple forms similar partnerships with other carmakers, especially as it currently offers unrivaled audio quality to its subscribers.
