Reservations will be made, one iPhone X per each individual

After a couple of iPhone generations that produced less excitement than previous models, the iPhone X is ready to go on sale with people camping in front of Apple Stores, just like in the good old times.

And given the huge demand for the device, coupled with the limited supply that Apple prepared for the November 3 launch, spending the night waiting in line at an Apple Store seems to be the only way to make sure you get an iPhone X.

Apple, however, won’t allow people to form a line several days before, according to this reddit user who said he talked to Apple Store officials on camping outside the stores.

This means that you can’t go to your nearest Apple Store today and wait for an iPhone X. Instead, you’ll be allowed to start a line at approximately 2 AM on Friday ahead of the morning opening time of each store. You’re recommended to go there on Thursday night though, the same user says, just to make sure you increase your chances of getting an iPhone X.

Each store to hand out reservations

Starting at approximately 4:30 AM, Apple employees (it seems neither fanboys nor the Apple staff will sleep that night) will begin checking in on people and make reservations for the iPhone X. The limited stock means that not everyone will get an iPhone X, so the earlier you arrive at the store, the bigger the chances.

One important thing is that each individual will be eligible for just one reservation. Despite some people saying that each person will be allowed to buy up to 2 iPhone X units, it looks like there’s a one iPhone X per person policy that will be used at each store.

Doors won’t open any minute earlier than the schedule and Apple Stores in malls will have special camping guidelines for those who want to spend the night there. In the past years, Apple staff allowed people to camp in the parking garage, but each store will have its own rules, so you better contact the employees for more details.

And last but not least, it looks like each Apple Store will have stock dedicated to business accounts. This means customers with business accounts at Apple have bigger chances to get an iPhone X, though there’s no word on how many units are prepared in this case either.
