AirPods are not ready just yet, Apple says in statement

Apple announced its highly-controversial AirPods in early September when it also introduced the new iPhone 7, promising to roll them out in October, but it turns out that this won’t be the case anymore.

Cupertino has decided to hold back the release of its wireless earphones because they aren’t ready just yet, as the company itself explained in a statement, saying that the launch would thus take place at a later time. No other timing details were provided, though, so the only option right now is to wait.

“The early response to AirPods has been incredible. We don’t believe in shipping a product before it’s ready, and we need a little more time before AirPods are ready for our customers,” the company said.

“I didn’t even buy the AirPods yet and already lost them”

Although they were launched with much fanfare by Apple, the AirPods were received with criticism by the community, as many believe that it’s super easy to lose them given the fact that they’re very small and entirely wireless.

It was only a matter of time until the Internet started making fun of the AirPods and one of the most popular memes came with a message saying that “I didn’t even buy the AirPods yet and already lost them,” suggesting how easy to lose the earphones could become given the new design.

Leaving aside all the great features that the AirPods bring, this thing is actually true and judging from the design that Apple has praised so much, it’s really easy to lose them, especially for runners and for women who might have to search for them in the purse if they don’t carry the little box they come with all around.

And now the fun is back once again, as fanboys believe that Apple delayed the launch of the AIrPods because CEO Tim Cook himself lost his. And what’s even funnier is that this might actually be true.
