The company isn’t pleased with the sales of the Plus

iPhone 14 Plus is one of the biggest surprises in the iPhone 14 series, with Apple, therefore, introducing a new large model as an upgraded alternative to the standard device.

However, it’s not a secret that the iPhone 14 Plus hasn’t necessarily been the hit that Apple expected it to be, and new information that reached the web this week suggests the company isn’t at all pleased with the market performance of the device.

As a result, the Cupertino-based tech giant has already started looking into ways to make the next model more appealing for customers, and as it turns out, two different solutions are currently on the table.

The first of them is to add new premium features to the Pro models in order to create a bigger difference between the devices in the lineup. In theory, this should make it clearer that the Plus delivers the genuine iPhone experience with a larger screen, something which Apple thinks would help boost sales.

The second is a potential price cut for the Plus. Making the device more affordable could obviously increase sales, but at the same time, this could also lead to a price reduction for the standard iPhone as well.

In the meantime, the iPhone 14 Pro and the Pro Max continue to be in hot demand, with Apple itself warning not a long time ago that it sees solid demand for these devices. Their production, however, has been hit hard by the supply problems in China.

“We continue to see strong demand for iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max models. However, we now expect lower iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max shipments than we previously anticipated and customers will experience longer wait times to receive their new products,” Apple warned in an update on supply published in November.
