Also looking just like the previous model

Apple has finally unveiled the new-generation iPhone SE, and as everybody expected, the new smartphone comes with 5G support and a new Bionic chip.

The look of the new model is 100 percent similar to the one of its predecessor, so overall, it’s based on the iPhone 8 launched so many years ago.

There’s obviously no notch on this iPhone, so Face ID is missing as well, but users are getting a home button with integrated Touch ID.

Power comes from the A15 Bionic chip, and the camera is a 12-megapixel unit with f/1.8.

Going on sale this Friday

Apple is obviously praising the new iPhone SE, claiming it’s the most powerful SE ever released.

“iPhone SE has been an incredibly popular choice with our existing users and for new iPhone customers, thanks to its iconic design, exceptional performance, and affordable price. This year we’ve built the most powerful and durable iPhone SE yet, with better battery life thanks to A15 Bionic, the same chip as our iPhone 13 lineup that also unlocks advanced camera features like Smart HDR 4, Photographic Styles, and Deep Fusion,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.

The new model will be available in three colors called (PRODUCT)RED, starlight, and midnight, and it’ll be available for pre-order starting this upcoming Friday. The shipping will begin a week later.

As for the price, the new iPhone SE will be a little more expensive than the model it replaces, with the cheapest version to be available in the United States at $429.

The iPhone SE will be offered in three storage configurations, namely 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB.

Needless to say, iPhone SE comes with iOS 15 pre-loaded, and there’s a chance iOS 15.4 (the version available right now as an RC), will be available on day one for the first customers.
