“Jay P. doesn’t have time for your family issues”

Getting in touch with Microsoft Support might sound to be a pretty good idea when you’re having a hard time setting up an application, a service, or device owned by the Redmond-based tech giant, but history has taught us that you must be armed with patience whenever you do it.

To refresh your memory, if you contact Microsoft Support, everything can turn against you, and even if you write them just to tell them about a piece of software, you could end up being accused for trying to trick Microsoft and risk getting banned.

But sometimes, you don’t risk anything, simply because the Microsoft Support engineers don’t seem to be wasting their time talking to you.

This is what happened to reddit user Jong999, who contacted Microsoft Support to get assistance with a problem encountered when trying to set up family safety on his Windows computer.

Jay P. to the rescue

Jay P., a Microsoft tech support engineer, was this man’s hero because, as Microsoft itself says, “you have the questions, we have the answers.”

So Jay P. answered the man’s call only to hang up on him minutes later, just after he heard about the problem. Now, this is as funny as it is frustrating, and imagine how infuriating this could become when you actually need help to deal with something.

But you can’t blame the man for ending the conversation without actually knowing why he did it. So let’s try to find a reason why everything ended up so soon.

Maybe…

… Jay P. ate too much vindaloo
… Jay P. doesn’t have time for our s##t (credits for this go to /u/thefigpucker)
… Jay P. is tired of listening to our family issues
… Jay P. got a BSOD
… Jay P. was not in the mood for overtime
… Jay P. uses Linux
… Jay P. is a grammar Nazi and does like typos (hint: “aghain”)
… Jay P.’s pizza just arrived
… Jay P. simply doesn’t care
Jokes aside, seriously, Microsoft, do something about it, your support services are really, really awful (of course, they’re not all Jay Ps, but this kind of experience really has a negative impact on Microsoft’s image).
