Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is Panache Digital's first major title that made it to PC and consoles. Although the game was launched last year on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, PC players had to buy it via Epic Game Store or not at all.

Well, starting this month, Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey is available for purchase through Steam, the biggest digital distribution platform for PC games. The good news is players who waited for the game to arrive on Steam will have to pay a lot less for Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey.

For a limited time, Panache Digital's game is available for just $20 / €20. On top of that, the developers announced that the Steam launch will be accompanied by the release of the official game soundtrack which has a unique sound inspired by African music.

If you plan to pick this one up from Steam, you might want to check out our in-depth Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey review while you're at it.

It's also important to add that the Steam release benefit from several patches and updates since the original launch, including improved tutorials and additional objectives, controller vibration support, new visual feedback on timing-based gameplay, new RPG nodes to automate some clan life tasks, additional character animations, as well as bug fixes.

In Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey you'll embark on one of the most interesting adventures known to humankind, the human evolution, and relive the early stages of life millions of years ago.

Ancestors: The Humankind Odyssey plays like a survival action game where players must battle a harsh and brutal world to ensure the future of their lineage. The game mechanics focuses on three main principles: explore, expand, and evolve.

With danger around every corner, players must carefully explore their environment set in Neogene Africa, slowly expanding their territory, and choosing how to evolve their clan from one generation to the next.
