The console was purchased on this year’s Black Friday

A number of Amazon customers who purchased a Nintendo Switch gaming console on Black Friday are being sent all kinds of random stuff, including condoms, electric toothbrushes, bed sheets, dishwashing powder, and laptop fan coolers.

The Mirror posted a series of complaints from customers who reached out to reveal that Amazon is only offering refunds without the option to purchase the Nintendo Switch at the Black Friday price.

Instead, customers are being told they have to pay the full price for the gaming console, which is obviously higher right now than it was on Black Friday.

One customer, Jenny Breeden from Crawley, West Sussex, says she contacted Amazon after being sent a box of dog food and washing up liquid, and the company promised it’d send the console anyway. The second Amazon box, however, only included an air freshener, at which point the customer decided to report the case to the police for what she describes as fraud.

Amazon: We're sorry

Another buyer says they called Amazon support after they go a bed sheet instead of the Nintendo Switch.

“Ordered a Nintendo switch for our son for Christmas, delivery today and in the box is a bed sheet we never ordered. We phone your customer services to be told we need to return the bed sheet and that we won't get a refund of £300 for up to a month, as you have no more Nintendo switch consoles to send out to us,” the cited source cites the customer as saying.

Not even Amazon can explain how the whole thing happened, but the company explains that it’s now working to fix the blunder. No word on what’s happening with customers who just want the gaming console at Black Friday pricing, though.

“We're really sorry about that and are investigating exactly what's happened. We're reaching out to every customer who's had a problem and made us aware so we can put it right. Anyone who has had an issue with any order can contact our customer services team for help,” Amazon said.
