An artist put together a collection of Star Wars scrrenshots

Talking is cheap, and a picture is worth a thousand words, or something like that. An artist who specializes in making really awesome screenshots from games has published a few from Star Wars Battlefront, and they look absolutely stunning. He's using, of course, a PC, but that's not surprising at all.

Many of the arguments of console players are that it doesn't' really matter if you play at 60 FPS or 30 FPS, that things happen on screen too fast for anti-aliasing to matter, and that at the end of the day it's not about the graphics.

At least, the last point is partially true. Most of the time it's not about graphics, but when it is about the graphics, the PC is next-gen, and the consoles are last-gen. They don't even qualify as current-gen.

We can call Berdu an artist because you don't usually get to that level of quality just by playing. He managed to remove the HUD and got some pretty nice angles, which are probably staged. The result is something that doesn't even look like it's taken from a game; it's more like something that's been pre-rendered specifically for this purpose.

The Glorious PC Gaming Master Race is happy

It's sometimes difficult to explain why PC gaming is the way it is so these images will come in handy. I had to explain to people that they were done with the engine of an existing game, and that always tells quite a lot about the quality of the title.

Star Wars: Battlefront is the next installment in the Star Wars universe, and it's developed by Dice and published by Electronic Arts. A massive Beta for the game has just ended, and the stable version of the game will be released on November 17 on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
