14 DAY TRIAL // Micromax's new brand YU has just added a new affordable handset to its portfolio of Android smartphones, the Yunique.
We reported to you earlier today that the YU Yunique was briefly listed at Snapdeal, so we were able to learn its full specs and pricing options.
Fast forward several hours, and YU has officially introduced the Yunique, a more than decent Android smartphones with a low price tag.
As WhatsOnTech points out, YU Yunique will be exclusively available for purchase via Snapdeal beginning September 15, for only Rs 4,999 outright, which is about $75 or €65.
The smartphone will be available in black color, but it features exchangeable back sides, so additional color options can be had for a small price.
Snapdeal has a special offer that allows customers to get the YU Yunique and 2 back covers for only Rs 5,449 ($80 / €75).
The first flash sale is scheduled for September 15, 2PM
It's also worth mentioning that potential customers will have to register on Snapdeal's website if they want to be able to buy one.
Moving on to specs, if you haven't read our previous report, here is what the YU Yunique has to offer in terms of hardware.
So, YU Yunique is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, an Adreno 306 graphics processing unit, and 1GB of RAM. It packs only 8GB of storage, but users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card.
The smartphone sports a 4.7-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution, Full Lamination technology, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.
On the back, the Yunique features an 8-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, while on the front there's a modest 2-megapixel selfie camera.
The smartphone is powered by a non-removable 2,000 mAh battery and features both 4G LTE and dual-SIM support.
Last but not least, YU Yunique comes with Cyanogen OS 12.1 right out of the box, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system.
