Great news for XOLO fans, as the Indian company has just announced the upcoming availability of yet another Android smartphone.

The XOLO One HD is an entry-level smartphone that ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box.

According to a new report, the XOLO One HD will be exclusively available via Amazon India for only Rs 4,777 outright, which is about $70 or €65. Customers will be able to pick this one up beginning December 31 in either black or white colors.

The latest addition to XOLO's “One” family of smartphones offers modest specs, which is why it's been priced so low.

Not much in terms of specs, but at least it's cheap

First of all, the smartphone sports a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports HD (720p) resolution. There's no extra protection like Corning Gorilla Glass coating, but that's to be expected since this is a low-end device after all.

At the back, the One HD packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash, OmniVision BSI-2 sensor and full HD (1080p) video recording. There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.

Hardware-wise, XOLO One HD comes equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6580M processor, a Mali 400 MP2 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users can expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

When it comes to connectivity, the One HD offers just about any function with the exception of 4G LTE. Still, users will be able to take advantage of 3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support.

Last but not least, XOLO One HD is powered by a 2,300 mAh battery that has yet to be rated by the manufacturer.
