LG unveiled a new mid-range family of smartphones back in early January. The K series has been officially introduced at CES 2016 trade fair, and the first two smartphones have already made its debut on the market, the K7 and K10.

However, these won't be the only smartphones in the K series launched by LG, as the South Korean company confirmed a few weeks ago that additional devices like K4, K4, and K8 would be released in the next months.

The first to be spotted ahead of release is LG K4, which now appears to be listed on LG Russia website. While this doesn't mean that the smartphone is available for purchase, at least, it's an indication that the K4 will soon make its debut on the market.

There's are no details on price and availability yet, but LG has already confirmed all the specs included in the K4.

It might be released on February 5

First of all, the smartphone will ship with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, but don't expect any Marshmallow upgrades in the future since this is a budget-friendly device.

LG K4 sports a 4.5-inch IPS capacitive touchscreen display that supports 480 x 854 pixels resolution, which is a bit disappointing even for an entry-level handset.

On the inside, the K4 packs a 1GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735M processor, paired with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

At the back, LG's affordable smartphone features a 5-megapixel photo snapper with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, whereas in the front there's a secondary 2-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

The smartphone measures 131.9 x 66.7 x 8.9 and weighs around 120g (battery included). Speaking of which, LG confirmed the K4 would be powered by a 1,940 mAh battery and that it would come with 4G LTE support, among other connectivity options.
