Some known issues are yet to be resolved though

Adobe has officially updated Photoshop with native support for Windows 10 ARM, with the company revealing in a support document that this update was officially released this month.

And while Photoshop running natively on Windows 10 ARM, the whole thing comes with a series of limitations, as some features aren’t yet available on this platform. For example, you can use the Windows Dial support, the generator and the related features, the oil paint filter, and the import, export, and playback of embedded video layers.

And what’s worse is that Photoshop comes to Windows 10 ARM with a series of known issues as well, with Adobe confirming all of them on this support page here.

One of them concerns the Photoshop for AMR installer, which Adobe explains that in some cases, it might not actually show up in the Creative Cloud Desktop Application.

“Photoshop for ARM will only install and work on ARM hardware that meets the minimum system requirements. If you have qualifying ARM hardware and you do not see the installer, check manually for an update (Help > Check for Updates). If it still does not appear, try logging out/back into the Creative Cloud Desktop application,” the company says.

ARM drivers required for printing

In addition, Adobe says that for some users, Photoshop might freeze on launch when trying to run the software on Windows 10 ARM.

“Update the OpenCL/GL Compatibility Pack. The Photoshop/WinArm installer installs a required Microsoft Store component on your system: the "OpenCL/OpenGL Compatibility Pack". After installation, we recommend updating to the latest version of this component from the Microsoft Store App,” the company explains.

If you also have trouble printing because the application cannot find the printer driver, you need to reach out to the printer manufacturer and download the compatible ARM drivers for your device.
