It’s that time of the month again when several top software companies are rolling out updates for their products, including Adobe.

Just like Microsoft, Adobe rolls out security updates for its software on the second Tuesday of each month, so today the company is publishing a new version of Flash Player for all supported platforms.

Adobe Flash Player 26.0.0.137 is all about security fixes, though for the time being no release notes are available. The company has just updated the download links and published the updated version on its servers, with full information about all the changes included in this release to be provided later today.

Patch Tuesday is an important day of the month for the majority of users who want to remain as secure as possible, and this is why it’s important for everyone to deploy the new Flash Player version as soon as possible.

In the case of Windows 8.1 and Windows 10 users, the new Flash Player build will also be shipped via Windows Update later today, together with all the other patches that the Redmond-based software giant will be providing for its own products.

Flash Player comes as built-in component of Internet Explorer 11 and Microsoft Edge, the new default browser in Windows 10, so every time new versions are released, Microsoft is shipping them to devices via Windows.

The same will happen with Google Chrome as well, and a new version of the browser is expected to go live in just a few hours with the new Flash Player version.

Other than that, given that Flash Player is currently one of the most vulnerable solutions on devices out there, it’s critical to always stay up-to-date and today’s release is expected to include patches for all known vulnerabilities in the client runtime. We’ll update the article with more information on what’s changed in this Flash Player version when the release notes are published.
