It's Patch Tuesday, and just like their friends over at Microsoft, Adobe is rolling out security updates for their software, including Flash Player.

Although it's often referred to as one of the most vulnerable security applications currently on the market, Flash Player keeps receiving updates and patches, so users still running it are strongly recommended to download and install version 20.0.0.235 as soon as possible.

Right now, there are no release notes available for users, as Adobe has just updated its servers with the download links, but more information should be available later today, when the new version is pushed to computers across the world through the other channels.

Updates for IE and Google Chrome

As usual, Internet Explorer and Edge users will get the Flash Player update via Windows Update, the built-in Windows tool in charge of delivering patches and improvements, while Google Chrome users will receive a browser update through the dedicated update engine.

In addition to Flash Player, Adobe has also released a new version of AIR, so if you're running this app, make sure you download and install the update too.

All of them are security patches that are critical to avoid exploits, especially given the fact that Flash Player is one of the most vulnerable solutions out there.

Security company Secunia said in a document concerning the 2014 security vulnerability reports that Adobe Flash Player was affected by 99 flaws last year while AIR had only 59 such holes. Google Chrome and Internet Explorer took the two leading spots with 504 and 289 flaws, respectively, but it's worth noting that Adobe Flash Player was also responsible for part of these vulnerabilities as well, as it's directly built into the browser.

Overall, don't wait any longer to patch your PC, so download Adobe Flash Player and AIR right now to get rid of any existing flaws.
