Microsoft’s Surface Duo is projected to begin shipping in just a few days, and the closer we get to this moment, the more apps are updated to support the device out of the box.

As many people know already, Surface Duo is an Android device that comes with a dual-screen form factor, so technically, users have two separate displays to interact with.

But at the same time, this means apps can also be rendered not just on one, but on two different screens at the same time, and using the entire screen estate makes it possible for users to benefit from an improved app experience on the Surface Duo.

And given this is a new form factor, app developers themselves need to release updates to support the Surface Duo.

Dual-screen Adobe Acrobat Reader

Today, it’s the turn of Adobe to do this, as Acrobat Reader is now prepared to run on the Surface Duo just flawlessly.

As one of the top PDF apps out there, Adobe Acrobat Reader getting support for Surface Duo is definitely good news, especially because users would be able to work with their documents using the pen. Annotations, comments, and signatures will all be supported in the app on the Surface Duo, and it’s believed the app will expand to use both screens and even allow users to create PDF documents.

The Surface Duo will begin shipping in one week, so we’ll find out more about everything in only a few days. This is without a doubt an exciting moment for Microsoft, despite the company already preparing an upgraded model, as some of the hardware specs of this first-generation Duo leave a lot to be desired.

No ETA is available just yet for the second Surface Duo, but expect it to land in a year or two.
