Adele hasn’t released any new music for 5 years and her fans have had it with the long wait. As her camp continues to refuse to confirm or deny the report that she will release a new album on November 20, what sounds like a snippet from a new Adele song has been released.
The 28-second promo was featured on last night’s edition of The X Factor, and as you can see from the Twitter samples below, it was more than enough to send the Internet into a frenzy.
“Hello, it’s me. I was wondering if after all these years you’d like to meet. To go over… everything. They say the time’s supposed to be heal ya, but I ain’t done much healing,” the song says.
Clearly, no one doubts that this is, in fact, a new Adele song, and all her fans are breathlessly waiting to hear the rest of the song and hopefully a new album as well.
Adele’s previous album was “21,” which came out in 2011, and she’s still making bank on it. Once she was done promoting it, she took some time off to rest and enjoy life, which now included a husband and a new baby.
Rumors that she would be putting out new music this year started picking up in early 2015, but until last night’s unexpected and, for the time being, still unexplained teaser, there wasn’t much to go by as far as they were concerned.

Somewhere in the suburbs, Adele pours another glass of champagne and puts her slippered feet up onto a huge pile of £50 notes. #xfactor
