Demi Lovato backstabbed Adam Lambert, going back on an understanding they had about going on the road together, when she kicks off the Confident Tour, according to a recent report in TMZ. If that really happened, the former American Idol star is being very gracious about it.

The report, which came out over the weekend, claims that Demi asked Adam to be her opener on the tour and he said yes. They even met and discussed essential details, like money and general arrangements for the show.

The announcement of the tour should have come last week, but Demi pushed it back, while her manager, who also happens to be Nick Jonas’ manager, brokered another deal that pushed Adam to the side.

Apparently, the manager told Demi that Nick was “hot now” and didn’t have a tour, and eventually talked her into going back on her word with Adam. “Adam feels betrayed and angry words were exchanged between the 2 camps,” the report said, adding that he found Demi’s move “very unprofessional and unethical.”

If that was ever the case, Adam is probably also upset that word of it got out in the media, because he’s going to extremes to shut the rumor down, as you can see from his tweet below. Again, if there’s any truth to the report, kudos for him for still trying to keep up appearances and act professionally.
