Microsoft has updated an application designed to streamline advertising campaign management for users of its adCenter service. A refreshed version of Microsoft adCenter Desktop Beta desktop application is currently available for download, bringing to the table a variety of fixes, reported by customers that have been testing previous versions of the app. Customers can, of course, continue to administer their Microsoft adCenter accounts online, however, there are scenarios in which the desktop application will provide functionality set up to simplify management. For example, via adCenter Desktop Beta, campaigns can be managed in offline scenarios and subsequently uploaded online.

The latest version of adCenter Desktop Beta, namely Build 7.1.032210.100, offers support for Windows 7 – 32-bit and 64-bit, Windows Vista SP1 – 32-bit and 64-bit, and Windows XP SP2 – 32-bit and 64-bit, and will work even on computers with modern hardware resources. Another plus for the desktop app is the fact that it allows customers to manage adCenter accounts in bulk, rather than individually.

“adCenter Desktop is a downloadable tool that can help you save time by managing your Microsoft® adCenter campaigns in an easy-to-use self-serve desktop application that lets you edit campaigns offline and then publish changes at your convenience when back online. You can utilize adCenter Desktop to manage the characteristics of your campaigns in a bulk fashion down from the campaign level down to the individual ad level. adCenter Desktop is built with a look and feel similar to that of the Microsoft Office user interface, so you can experience a quick ramp-up and publish changes to adCenter with a simple Web upload when you are ready,” Microsoft stated.
