14 DAY TRIAL // Unveiled back in September at IFA 2015 trade fair, Acer's Predator 8 gaming tablet is about to make its debut in Romania. The slate is likely to be available for purchase in other European countries by the end of the year as well.
Customers looking for an expensive gift they wish to buy for someone close to them might want to take Acer's tablet into consideration.
According to Acer Romania, the tablet will go on sale just in time for the holiday season for no less than $400. It will be available at major online and brick and mortar retailers across the country.
Acer Predator 8 is a unique tablet that comes with a powerful hardware configuration and a few other improvements aimed at gamers.
For example, the slate is equipped with a powerful 1.6GHz Intel Atom x7-Z8700 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 32GB/64GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

Also, the tablet sports an 8-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 1920 x 1200 pixels resolution. Acer Predator 8 packs four stereo speakers, one at each corner, so that it could offer surround sound when playing games.
Some less important specs include 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, as well as secondary 2-megapixel camera on the front for selfies.
The tablet doesn't feature cellular connectivity, but you will be able to take advantage of other options like Wi-Fi (MIMO 2x2 solution), Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It weighs 350g, and it's only 8.7mm thin.
Another nifty feature that's been embedded into the tablet is called Predator TacSense and offers a much better tactile feedback while playing games. Basically, it emulates the capabilities of a gaming controller (joystick, racing wheel, gamepad).
Last but not least, Acer Predator 8 runs Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box. No word on Android 6.0 Marshmallow for this tablet, though.
