Acer Liquid M330 is one of the most affordable Windows 10 Mobile handsets, along with Microsoft’s Lumia 550. The former hit shelves in Europe about a month ago, but Acer did not reveal plans to bring its entry-levels smartphone to other regions like the United States.

Although Windows 10 Mobile’s market share in North America has dropped dramatically in the last couple of years, Acer has decided that it’s a good idea to launch its Liquid M330 smartphone in the United States.

Beginning this week, Acer Liquid M330 is available for purchase in the United States at Microsoft’s online and retail stores across the country.

Unfortunately, for $100, customers won’t get too much in terms of specs. Acer Liquid M330 sports a small 4.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports 854 x 480 pixels resolution and a brightness of 350 nits.

An entry-level device that can be used as a second smartphone

On the inside, the handset packs a 1.1GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, coupled with an Adreno 304 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

Furthermore, the Liquid M330 includes only 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.

There’s also a 5-megapixel camera on the back with autofocus, LED flash, and video recording, as well as a secondary 5-megapixel camera on the front for selfies and video calls.

Luckily, the smartphone comes with 4G LTE support, but other connectivity options are available too, including 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and GPS with AGPS support. Also, the Liquid M330 supports DTS audio and features 3.5mm audio jack.

According to Acer, the 2,000 mAh battery inside Liquid M330 should provide up to 15 hours of talk time or up to 230 hours of standby time on a single charge.

Naturally, the device ships with Windows 10 Mobile operating system right out of the box, and users will also be able to take advantage of Microsoft’s Cortana personal digital assistant.
