It's now available via Windows Phone Recovery Tool

With less than a month left until the supposed launch of Windows 10 Mobile, there are still smartphones that haven't been updated to Lumia Denim.

One of these handsets is the AT&T version of Lumia 830, which was launched in the United States quite a while ago.

Unfortunately, even though the unlocked model and probably all other carriers have released Lumia Denim for this particular smartphone, AT&T said it wouldn't.

Some of you might remember that AT&T confirmed in early August that Lumia 830 won't be receiving the Lumia Denim update.

The information was provided by AT&T's Better Business Bureau, which also pointed out that the update is only available for Lumia 1520.

That being said, we didn't expect the carrier to have a change of heart and eventually release Lumia Denim update for the Lumia 830.

AT&T has yet to push the update OTA (over the air)

Although AT&T has yet to officially confirm the news, it looks like many Lumia 830 owners have already started to receive the update, according to many reports coming from WindowsCentral's forums.

The update seems to be available on Microsoft's servers via Windows Phone Recovery Tool, so if you own the AT&T Lumia 830, you might want to check it out and update to Lumia Denim.

Some users have already managed to capture the update and report that some of the changes included improve the smartphone's performance.

New features and enhancements, as well as bug fixes have been implemented as well. The phone's camera for example is much faster after upgrading.

Keep in mind, though, that if you plan to download and install Lumia Denim, you should back up your data since the update will hard reset your phone.

If you manage to upgrade your AT&T Lumia 830 and notice any important changes other than the ones we already know, let us know in the comments section.
