Electronics companies have their own way to celebrate the Holidays! Take ZVUE for example! The company has just announced its intentions to send 260 versions of portable media players out in the wild with a huge red ribbon and an irresistible new price tag.

During this year's Christmas Holidays, the company is planning to sell the iPod-like player for about 84.95 bucks a piece. In addition, each purchaser will be able to download up to 50 top music videos from the company's site. And, for whom it may really concern, this is good news.

"We're excited about combining the ZVUE Model 260 with free music video downloads from zvue.com, which would ordinarily cost $99, and we are promoting this offer throughout the ZVUE Network. The offer demonstrates the value and synergy we can create as both the product supplier and online distributor." said Jeff Oscodar, President and CEO of ZVUE.

The MP3 player was first introduced to the masses in January 2007 during the CES event. The ZVUE 260 portable player sports some convenient dimensions of 105.6 x 61 x 12.7mm. It features a click-wheel in the center for UI navigation ans a built-in speaker located on the right of the screen. In fact, the 260 model is said to be the first Zvue player with integrated speakers.

As for its capabilities, the player can download and play MPEG-4 and WMV for videos, MP3, WMA DRM and OGG for audio playback, as well a JPGs and BMPs for photo viewing. The player's internal memory is expandable to 16GB via the SD card slot. Otherwise, there's the same old story with the simple design line and a bright, 2.5 inch full-color LCD screen display.
