Just a few days ago, Zotac announced its first custom designed GeForce GTX 580 solution and apparently this is just the beginning as the company now plans to unveil another graphics card based on Nvidia's flagship GPU that will swap the dual-fan cooling system used before with a water cooler.

The new Zotac GTX 580 is not yet official, but pictures of the card as well as its specifications were revealed by the Expreview website.

Compared to the just-launched AMP2! Edition GTX 580 model the Chinese company unveiled, this card will feature improved clock speeds as its GPU and memory chips have been factory overclocked to reach 820MHz and 1100MHz (4400MHz effective), respectively.

To put things in perspective, the Nvidia GTX 580 stock frequencies are set at 772MHz for the core and 1002MHz (4008MHz data rate) for the memory.

The heat added by the overclock is dissipated by a water-cooling solution that is comprised out of a GPU water-block and a separate pump and 120mm radiator assembly.

This seems to resemble a great deal the CoolIP Omni A.L.C. unit that has been used on several other factory water-cooled GTX 480 and GTX 580 graphics cards.

Otherwise, Zotac has decided to go with Nvidia's reference printed circuit board and the card features a 6+2 phase design and Taiwanese solid-stage capacitors. Power is provided by one 8-pin and one 6-pin PCI-E plugs and video output is handled by a pair of dual-link DVI ports and an HDMI port.

The official launch date of the water-cooled edition Zotac GeForce GTX 580 isn't known at this time.

The GTX 580 is Nvidia's fastest single GPU solution released to date and packs 512 CUDA cores, 64 texturing units, 48 ROP units and a 384-bit wide memory interface which connects to 1.5GB of GDDR5 video buffer memory.
