Zoner Software just launched their latest build of the free version of Photo Studio. The newly issued edition of the bundle, available only on Softpedia until July 10, 2011, is based on the heftier variant, Photo Studio 13, which is a paid product.

The three modules available in both editions of the suite (Manager, Editor and Viewer) are limited in functionality as far as the freebie is concerned, but this does not tone down the list of features it comes with.

In fact, besides the image organizer, editor and viewer you will also benefit from powerful sharing options such as the possibility to build up 3D photos or panoramas, if you have all the right parts for the job.

Zoner Photo Studio Free allows you to work with large batches of pictures and modify them all at once, with as little effort as possible.

The built-in manager helps you keep the entire collection of photos organized, no matter how large it is. Additionally, the myriad of sorting options can be extremely helpful if you’re looking for a particular image and there are no tags or keywords defined.

One feature in the application you do not regularly meet in a freebie is its publishing function. It can be the perfect tool to create calendars out of your own pictures, contact sheets or slideshows that roll out on music.

As far as editing is concerned, the freebie offers only the standard functions. But even so, you will be able to make red-eye corrections, and even correct the horizon line in some photos, or apply one of the filters in the collection: grayscale, old photograph, explosion, oil paint, waves, pencil drawing, pixelize, emboss, fading borders and others.

Our review of Zoner Photo Studio Free 13 depicts an easy to handle application, ready to assist you in organizing huge collections of photos and maintaining them in order. Also, it comes with some cool editing capabilities and it can also be used to render a very wide range of photos, RAW included.
