A Unique and Complex Tower Defense

Zoator TD 2: Age of Darkness will provide more than any other tower defense out there. Use different races to battle against hordes of enemy units. Experiment with different towers to find their strengths and weaknesses. The Warcraft 3: Frozen Throne map is a unique Tower Defense that blends 4 unique races, 50 diverse levels, 8 custom heroes, and many unique features into one game.

The game has a very unique tower/upgrade concept that is extremely important to understand. Each builder can construct 8 towers directly - these are called base towers. Each base tower has 2 upgrade. For each race there are upgrade alternations: Element - inexpensive/expensive, Energy - charged/uncharged, Time - past/future, Ancient - light/darkness. The first sentence of the description of each tower upgrade will tell you about the kind of upgrade you are about to perform.

Ultimate towers for each race also have the same upgrade alternations. However, ultimate towers always have requirements. To build the base ultimate tower for your race, you must have all of the regular base towers in that race. And to build one of the upgrade for the ultimate, you must have all of the regular upgrades (for the specific alternation). It's very difficult to make every single tower of a race, so it's best to choose one upgrade patch and stick with it throughout the game.

There are four races that you'll have to choose from (or random): Element: can work well in just about any position of the map, but still must be learned well before it can be put to good use. Energy: is one of the most difficult races to use. It has 100% piercing, with the exception of the ultimate towers. Energy charged means that the tower has a slow attack speed, but is powerful and has splash. Uncharged means the tower's attack speed is fast, but it's a little weaker and has no splash. Time: is a more unique race. It has one of the most interesting towers in the game: the Evolving Tower. This tower is built once and it evolves into different forms within time, instead of being upgraded like the other towers. Ancient: has attack types that will change with each tower. Basically, each upgraded tower will use a different attack type (piercing, normal or siege).

The map features a completely revamped hero system. There are 8 heroes split up between sides (Left and Right), used to slay different creeps, including the all new Boss Creeps. Not only this, but every 5 levels, the heroes from the Left side of the map meet the heroes from the Right in an arena and the winning team receives gold.

This is a very complex tower defense map that will take some time before it can be mastered. Try every race and see which one you'll like!
