Zeiss lenses are highly regarded among DLSR and interchangeable lens camera photographers thanks to their outstanding image quality, increased sharpness, and almost non-existent chromatic aberrations.

Currently, Zeiss is manufacturing the Touit series lenses for Sony E-mount and Fujifilm X-mount mirrorless cameras and, if you plan to purchase any of the available lenses, you should know that, until January 31, all major retailers (AmazonUS, B&H etc.) are offering the Zeiss Touit 12mm f/2.8 and Zeiss Touit 32mm f/1.8 lenses for both available mounts at a special discounted price of $999 / €734 and $720 / €530, respectively.

According to FujiRumors, an anonymous source said that a firmware update that will add PDAF and LMO support for Touit lenses would come at the end of this month, while another source claims that the update will arrive in February.

Furthermore, the same source said that more Touit lenses are under development. We already know that a Touit 50mm f/2.8 Macro lens is coming on February 27. Until we find out more about the new lens update, take this with a pinch of salt.
