It turns out that CM Storm is just one of a whole crowd of companies that brought gaming peripherals to Taipei, Taiwan, at Computex 2013.

Zalman is another such company. In fact, its mouse, called ZM-M40IR, has quite a few things in common with CM Storm's Reaper.

Sure, it's made in a way that makes it comfortable for use in either hand. And sure, the resolution of the sensor (Avago A5050 optical sensor) is not as high (up to 1,350 cpi), but the mice are alike in their use of Omron switches and braided sleeved-cable.

Zalman's mouse also has a gold-plated USB connector, a scroll-wheel, ambidextrous design with seven buttons, and on-the-fly resolution adjustment.

No LED logo though, and there's no info on the price either.
