Two weeks ago we learned that Zalman planned to enter the graphics card market with a series of new solutions based on AMD’s Radeon designs, but recently it has come to our attention that the company will also develop video cards based on Nvidia’s GeForce GPUs.

This was unveiled when Overclockers.ua entered into the possession of a new image that showcases a couple of Zalman graphics cards designs.

As it was revealed at the beginning of this month, one of these designs was built to be used for AMD’s Radeon HD 6870, HD 6850 and HD 5770 GPUs, while the other came as a surprise since Zalman developed it for Nvidia graphics cores.

This includes the upper mainstream GTX 560 Ti and GTX 560 as well as the less powerful GeForce GTX 550 Ti.

Unlike the cards that were pictured before, these two designs use a Zalman developed cooling solution and probably an in-house developed PCB.

No details regarding the operating clocks of the graphics cards pictured are known at this time, but there is a strong possibility for these to arrive factory overclocked.

Pricing and availability are also unknown, but more info should be revealed at the CES 2012 fair where Tech Power Up claims that Zalman wants to show off its upcoming video cards.

Outside of the models pictured today, the outfit’s lineup will also include a couple of graphics cards built with AMD’s Barts and Juniper GPUs, which judging by the images provided previously seem to be nothing more than rebranded HIS boards.

It remains to be seen how well Zalman will fare in the competitive graphics card market, but the company sure has the right background for making a good impression, so we expect its solutions with great interest.
