Since USB 3.0 is rapidly moving towards mainstream status nowadays, Zalman's decided to add three new storage solutions embedding this high-speed interface to its lineup, just in time for CeBIT 2011.

As TechPowerUp informs us, the new models in question are the ZM-HE250 U3, ZM-HE350 U3 and ZM-HE350 U3E, all of which manage to combine a very attractive and sleek external look with the impressive data transfer rates (up to 5Gbps) enabled by the SuperSpeed technology.

The first model mentioned above, the ZM-HE250 U3, sports an aluminum body for easier cooling and is compatible with 2.5-inch SATA I and II hard drives, this also being the reason why its form factor is also pretty slim, namely just around 84mm x 16mm x 134mm.

Moreover, the enclosure is also backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and USB 1.1 specifications, and should work quite well with just about any OS out there.

Next in line come the ZM-HE350 U3 and ZM-HE350 U3E models, the only difference between the two being the fact that the U3E also sports an eSATA port, beside the USB 3.0 interface.

Beside this extra connectivity option, the new ZM-HE350 U3 and ZM-HE350 U3E enclosures are quite similar, both being designed to work with 3.5-inch HDDs and sporting a fairly slim size, as they measure 116.6mm x 47mm x 201mm.

Naturally, much in the same way as the ZM-HE250 U3, these enclosures are also backwards-compatible with older USB standards, not to mention the fact that they're most likely going to work with just about any operating system around.

Unfortunately, the company has not yet provided any pricing and/or availability details for its latest USB 3.0 HDD enclosures, but we're certainly eager to find out more details on these topics as soon as possible (and, of course, relay them to you as well).
